Contract Negotiation Service Package



This fee is a Baseline Fee, which is the cost to initiate Contract Negotiation and provide a statement of work in support of a Final Fee.  The Baseline Fee is non-refundable.

The Final Fee is in addition to the Baseline Fee and is based on a variety of factors:

  1. The need to include either Document Review or Document Creation Service Packages.
  2. The number of parties involved, internally and externally.
  3. The state of the negotiation.
  4. The posture of the parties (close / far from agreement).
  5. The availability and efficiency of counsel for the counterparty.
  6. The number and nature of stakeholders involved in the document, both internally and in the counterparty.
  7. The size of the document and the amount of new authorship required
  8. The complexity of the document being negotiated
  9. The number of supporting, ancillary documents.
  10. The likely number of negotiation cycles.
  11. The need for specialized research, investigation or ancillary work.

Based on these factors, the Final Fee will range from $500 to thousands of dollars.


Based on over 20 years experience with contract negotiation with some of the country’s largest corporations, GCO will be your attorney negotiating an agreement with a counterparty. We will be present for all contract discussions internally and with the 3rd party.


You will initiate the Contract Negotiation Service Package by purchasing the Service Package for the Baseline Fee.  You will upload any relevant documents (including, if appropriate, the document that is the subject of negotiations), and answer a brief questionnaire relative to the negotiation.  We will meet to discuss your requirements and strategy, and map out a project plan.  We will return to you with statement of work confirming this plan, stating assumptions about the work we will undertake, and a Final Fee.  Once the Final Fee is paid, we will begin a series of negotiating meetings and document exchanges with the counterparty, with your permission and coordination.  The assumptions about the number of such negotiating sessions will be included with the Final Fee statement of work.

The Contact Negotiation Service Package may include the Document Creation and Document Review Service Packages.  In other words, GCO may have to review and create documents as part of Contract Negotiation.  Should we agree to create or review documents, you will need to purchase those Service Packages.

Additional Terms & Conditions

This Contract Negotiation Service Package is governed by the terms of the GCO Retainer Agreement with your firm.  You were provided a copy at the time you registered.  If you need another copy, please let us know.  This Contract Negotiation Service Package adds the following additional terms and conditions:

  1. The Service Package Fees are refundable upon your request until the services are rendered, less payment processing fees, which are on average about 3% of the purchase price.  Bear in mind that the purpose of the Baseline Fee is to determine the full scope of the Contract Negotiation Service Package, and it is therefore earned upon our first Consultation.  If services have been partially rendered, you are entitled to a reasonable partial refund.  The Business Formation Fee will not be held in escrow and will be treated as belonging to GCO, subject to refunds.  Refunds will be credited to the credit card that you used to purchase the Service Package.
  2. Expenses associated with negotiating a contract (such as copying, mailing, travel) are in addition to the Baseline and any Final Fees charged by GCO.  We will invoice you separately for expenses.
